EV Deployment Engineer

We are seeking a skilled EV Deployment Engineer to join the DNG Infra team. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating new charging sites, managing grid capacity reviews with local electric utility companies, and overseeing the deployment of AC Destination and CCS2 DC fast charging corridors.

You will work closely with our regional team leads and franchise hosts (COCO/FOCO nodes) to coordinate installation schedules, verify compliance standards, and ensure high operational safety.

As an EV Deployment Engineer at DNG, you will be the primary technical link during charging node site deployments. You will evaluate municipal permits, utility grid configurations, and electrical installations to guarantee safe commissionings of charging setups.

Evaluate power distribution lines, calculate maximum loads, and ensure chargers operate within host building capabilities. Collaborate with developers and fleet dispatch partners.

  • Education and Experience:

    • A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related field.
    • Prior experience in EV charging station infrastructure setup, substation work, or power networks.
      • Proficiency in grid load balancing calculations and charger commissioning processes.
      • Familiarity with OCPP (Open Charge Point Protocol), CCS2 chargers, and grid standards.
      • Understanding of grid power quality, safety grounding, and transformer configurations.
  • Grid Deployment Skills:

    • Knowledge of medium-voltage distribution panels, MCBs, earthing pits, and surge protection.
    • Experience with CAD drawing software to draft layout architectures of EV hub bays.
    • Understanding of regional grid regulations and electrical compliance codes.
Overview

At DNG, we target high-uptime charging hubs to keep commercial hosts and EV drivers moving. Our engineering leads work on-site and in the design office to ensure zero grid failures, coordinating charger handovers and hardware compliance checks.

Experiences
  • Prior experience supervising grid-connected substation installations.
  • Familiarity with high-voltage electrical safety standards (IS/IEC).
  • Proven track record managing contractors and technical site installers.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills under grid capacity limitations.

This role requires active travel across our regional installation hubs to manage commissioning handovers, working directly with local electrical inspectors and utility providers.

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in electrical site commissionings.
  • Valid engineering license or accredited electrical safety certifications.
  • Excellent liaison skills to work with local state electricity boards.
  • Willingness to handle emergency grid diagnostics when dispatches occur.
